Multiple Apache 2.2.8 installation on same redhat server, Error httpd (pid 3996) already running

I have successfuly installed apache in different location .=20

When i try to start the server using the second location '/home/local/apac=
he2/bin/apachectl start' it gives the error httpd (pid 3993) already r=
unning which is the first location server pid.=20

How to resolve this error so that i can have the servers of both the instal=
lation running. One server is on port 80 and the other on port 8080 and th=
e IP is same =2C installation directory different.

No, it can simply be changed at runtime with the directive already

If it's not there, add it. The manual tells you it's valid in the
"server config" (global) context.
